Roman Trobec

Dr. Roman Trobec received Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Ljubljana in 1988. Since then, he has been with the biggest interdisciplinary research institution in Slovenia “Jožef Stefan” Institute (JSI). He is currently a principal investigator in the Department of Communication Systems, the head of Parallel and Distributed Systems Laboratory at JSI and an associate professor at Faculty of Computer and Information Science in Ljubljana. His research areas are in the design and development of computing and communication platforms, wireless sensors, big data and bio-signal analytics, ECG devices and analysis, and HPC simulations on parallel computers. He authored more than two hundred refereed papers and four books published by Springer. He regularly serves as Program Committee member to various international conferences and workshops.
