Aleš Simončič received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Ljubljana in 2019 and 2022, respectively. His master’s thesis was focused on angle of arrival estimation using BLE technology and antenna arrays.
He is currently working as a young researcher at the Department of Communication Systems at the Jožef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana, and is pursuing his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technologies at the Jožef Stefan International Postgraduate School.
His research interests are in the area of radio communication systems. In particular. protocols, antennas and arrays, direction of arrival estimation methods, embedded systems, and radio environment characterization.
