Tomaž Šolc studied electronics at the Faculty of electrical engineering, University of Ljubljana and received B.Sc. in 2007. He joined the Department of Communication Systems at the Jožef Stefan Institute in 2011 as a research assistant. He works on several projects involving hardware design and embedded software development as part of the Laboratory for wireless sensor networks. His research work is mainly oriented in the field of spectrum sensing and cognitive radio technologies.
